Yesterday, Micah always wore a very rosy cheek, and I felt that his temperature is warm, I thought it was only due to the weather. At midnight about 3:00, he couldn't sleep, cried and had heavy stuffy nose.. then
He was lying down on the bed with his stomach, but I felt that his hands and legs were shaking!!!! It really scared me and I decided to woke Man up to ask him to go to hospital. He also agreed with me as Micah was abnormal, he never have had such shaking legs and hands even he was sick. I checked his temperature but it was only 38'c.
When we arrived the emergency, it was 4:00 am. Man couldn't stay long as Moses was still sleeping at bed, by law it is not allowed to leave kids at home alone, however, we didn't have choices , unless we have to woke our friends up at the midnight.
It's thankful that Moncton is so small that we only took 10 mins to hospital. I was asked to wait for about an hour after registered, Micah was so cranky at that moment, and his temperature was up to 39.3'c!! That's why he was shaking!
After the initial check up by the nurse, Micah was given the Tylenol to reduce his fever. However, fever was not going down after 1.1/2 hours, nurse gave him another dosage of Advil., it was around 6:30, we were inside the observation room , I am glad that we had a bed so that Micah could sleep there. Doctor came and had check up for him, everything was fine but doctor suggested for chest x -ray even his lung was clear from listening.
X-ray film was ready by around 8:30 but at that time, I already fell into sleep on the bed , nothing wrong with his chest so that we could leave hospital. I was too tired , the insufficient sleep gave me a headache that I really wanted to sleep immediately.
It seemed that Micah became another person after back home, he was so active in the whole morning, asking for TV shows , and he danced and he was so energized! Poor me I have been waiting for a chance to sleep but he couldn't sleep in the whole morning. It was not until 12:00 pm, I couldn't take a rest after he fell into sleep !
