Summer soccer kicks off !

Summer soccer kicked off on Tue this week, it is the 2nd year that Moses joined it. This year, he got the blue soccer uniform, which is so cool! His favourite color!  He really wants to be a goalie, but I told him that he has to learn more techniques, I trust thru playing soccer, he not only learned how to play soccer, but also some interactions with kids!

My french lessons

I enjoy my French lessons very much, one of the reason is that I can learn French without pressure, I remember when I studied in Hong Kong, there were too many exams and tests which drove people crazily and stressed! Now every Monday, Wed and Friday I have French lessons, while Micah has his play schools at the same building, he loves going there as well , whenever we drive near that building, he will say " going to school!" . Another reason that I love the French class, is that I made some new friends, they are from Korea, Japan, and from South Amercia . Canada is a multicultural country, people were immigrated from different countries with different cultures. Sometimes during the class, we will talk about cultures and custom, which are so fun!

When can I communicate with people in French fluently? I guess it will be one day soon!

Relax!

I started my first driving course since April, and I had the 1st lesson on the road in earlier May, I remember I was too panic when I first got into the instructor's car. Today it was the 3rd time I had my driving lesson with the instructor, with almost 5 hours practise with Man and my friend, Yun in Bessborough area( so called sub-division, residential area),  I found that I wasn't too panic. But When I drove with them, the speed was only 30 -40 Km/hour maxi, I haven't tried any main road with traffic lights and more traffics.

Today I had another hour with Mike, the instructor. He wanted to know my progress so I drove in the sub-division a little while then moved into the main road, it was about 5:30 so all people almost were at home, less traffic. He asked me to accelerate as I was too slow. When I drove to the freeway, the maxi speed is 60km/hour while my speed was only 45km/hour, that's why he asked me to be faster.

It is good experience for me to try , he taught me the lane changing, and deal with the traffic lights. Of course, as he has the brake at his side, I wasn't too scared but I was still too tensed, and nervous, maybe it was the first time I was in the main road, I really need to be more relaxed! How to do that ? I think it takes time, at least I don't want to listen my heart beating when driving.

Beaver Summer camp 2011

I am not sure whether it is the 6th time Moses has his sleepover camp with Beavers, it seems that he loves it very much, and everytime when he was back from camp, he was tired but kept telling me what he did in the camp. He is so grown up now!

Whenever he is away from home, I will miss him very much ! It is so sweet that we will kiss and hug each other when we meet again!

Next week, he will have the swim up ceremony , he will be Scout cubs in Sept( 8-10 years), he can't wait for it and he knows he will learn a lot in cubs.

special baby shower party for Bella

 Bella( Moses's classmate) will be a big sister in July, she will have a little baby brother soon ! Her mom adopted a little boy from Africa and he will come to Canada in July! So Claire's mom prepared a special party for Bella, which it was a big surprise to her. We all arrived in Claire's house before Mary and Bella came, when she entered into the house, we all hided , and then gave her a big surprise!


It is very special to give her such a baby shower party, because we want her to be well prepared, and of course it will make her so excited to welcome her little brother. We had an awesome party on that day, we had games , snacks for the kids. Micah enjoyed so much too !
