Heavy snow, strong winds started last night around 8:00 pm, it continued thru the whole night and this morning, I woke up and realized that all schools are closed due to the weather condition from district 2 announcement. I gave heads up to Moses last night so he slept till 8:30 am this morning.
Snow bank was built in front of our driveway and front door, after the snow plow passed by, it was at least 25cm deep in our drive way, poor Man shovelled the snows earlier this morning, while he was working on the drive way, our neighbor came again and helped him out by his snow blower, I appreciate our neighbors very much as they are showing their kindness and helping people.
I let them watch some movies in the earlier morning after our breakfast . I am glad that today I have a little teacher assistant for Micah's class, Moses had so many ideas how to teach Micah. At the beginning, the little student didn't focus very much, he kept doing what he wanted, whenever I showed him the flash cards, he would grab them from my hand and read by his own. Hewas so eager to learn new things so it didn't take too much time to bring him back.
Today lesson covers:( 45 mins )
1. review letter B- learning words : butterfly, book, bee, belt.
2. storytelling : the way we go ( I am surprising that he can recognize some words
them out , words like glasses, babies, socks, hat, of course the pictures help him out )
3. colors : games - recognize red colors from the color blocks.
4. songs : rain rain go away ( snow snow go away)
5. coloring pictures
Moses then asked me to test him whether he fully understands temperature, he recently learned about thermometer at school.
I should thank for the snows as we can re-organize their toys together into different boxes, it helps Moses to remember where his old toys are.
While Micah was taking the nap, I played with Moses for some " boy's things", I can believe I can pretend to be bad guysto fight with that good guys.
